A Year ago, do you know what you were doing?
I do. Some of you may recall that last year we began a cross country mega drive ON.MY.BIRTHDAY. (No, I’m not bitter or anything — let’s just plan better NEXT year, ok, Prince?
We arrived in Snarkville on the 24th of September, so last night as I was drifting off, I decided to think about where I was a year ago. Hmm, let’s review the trip.
Left the East Coast.
Night one: In Dayton, OH. Ate dinner at an O’Charley’s. Yup, we liked it. Had a cat hide INSIDE the box springs of the bed.
Night two and three: St. Louis, MO. Visited good friends of ours. Had a cat escape down the hall of the hotel. (a different cat)
Night four: Colby, KS. There was a Pizza Hut. Was remembered in the morning as the couple whose dog whined when they left to get said Pizza Hut.
Night five and six: Boulder, CO. Great shopping, still need to find a spot for the stained glass piece we got. Dog got to play in a dog run for the first time in his life.
Night seven: Park City, UT. We had this at somepoint on this day: 
Night eight: Some where on the West Coast. Cat caused the Prince to fall out of bed — so so the Prince says.
So, there you have it folks — this is what I was doing a mere year ago. In one way it seems like yesterday, as I just found the “good” grocery store in town last week. In other ways it feels like it should be time for us to move along again.

Ok, just to clarify… The cat didn’t escape down the hall… We let him walk out the first time he did it…

Only if you mean by “we let him walk out” that we opened the door and he walked out. While he was hardly speeding down the hall, he was in fact escaping.
