Halloween in time for Thanksgiving
Does anyone even remember me mentioning that I had a photo to share? A photo of Duke from Halloween? Do we remember that there WAS Halloween?
Anyway, in Duke’s now perfect record, he slept through Halloween AGAIN. But since we were on the ship at the time, we carried him from place to place so we could have an evening. Let me just say this carrying a sleeping child thing was a thousand times easier when he was a newborn — what upper body strength you need now!!

Yes, that is a banana in his pocket! In fact it is a banana holder! No, his pants weren’t too small, it is the way he’s sleeping. And finally, yes, this is in the middle of a a VERY large, VERY loud cocktail party.
Yup — that’s Duke the life of the party.
Regarding super-human Mommy strength:
As heard in the bowling alley one weekend recently:
Duke: (spinning around on a chair)
Other Child: This is FUN. (hops down and in the process knocks his chair down)
Duke and OC attempt to put the chair to rights. Fail.
Queen walks over and picks the chair up.
OC: That’s a heavy chair.
Queen: Yup, but I’ve got it. You need to be more careful when climbing down. ok?
OC: WOW, you are really strong.
Yup, kid, I’m a super woman! I can even hoist small, sleeping children around a ship with ease. Now, where did I put the cookies?

Love those red Keds! My baby outgrew their sizes….in a 10.5-11 and they stop at 10. Sniff….all grown up.
LOVE the photo. Hannah could sleep through ANYTHING! Simon, not so much….
Great photo.
