Ever want to crash a vacation?
You’ve seen the couple at the posh resort and you wonder “Where are they from?” “What do they do?” You may sit with/near them at dinner and have a brief, top-level glimpse into their life. But what would happen if you already knew details about them? What would happen if you didn’t have to begin at the beginning?
Blogland Cruise would happen.
The brain child of the amazing artist Deb from Red Shoe Ramblings. She is basically inviting everyone in the blogworld (I’d say Blogsphere, but I think it is uppity) to join her on her vacation. As if, anyone could miss that chance. Here’s the high points to crashing Deb’s Vacation:
- Meeting Deb live and in person. I can attest from reading her for a long time (I’ll take a small side note to tell you how I ‘met’ her blog. I read Joshilyn Jackson, thank you Mir, and she had a contest to write limericks for a certain very awesome totem. I wrote many very BAD (and not in the good way ones) and Deb wrote these amazingly funny and good ones. Well, Deb won and I was ticked so I had to see what made her tick and followed a link. It just happened that day on her blog she had some post from the random junk drawer of her mind and I was hooked. She lived in my bloglines under “READ THIS DAILY” ever since.) that she’s fun. I can also attest after talking to her on the phone that she’s a woman you MUST have drinks with. She has wit that I appreciate and a giggle — Oh, my the woman giggles!!
- I hear she likes the frozen drinks served by the pool. I’m just saying, this may be a great place to try to comission her for a quilt — oh, did you know she makes the most amazing quilts? (yes, I’m still trying to work out a trade socks for a quilt…but I fear she may expect at least a matching pair.)
- Meeting Deb’s husband. Trust me, read her blog for week or maybe this post. You are going to want to meet this man.
- Um, she’s going on vacation on this big ship, Adventure of the Seas. Going to the Southern Caribbean — Aruba, people, ARUBA!!!
- There’s an ice skating rink on this ship! Oh sure you might want to climb the rock wall or play mini golf — but I think I’d rather skate hand in hand with my new friend, Deb — oh, well, if I don’t fall apart with the giggles first.
- Book by her birthday, March 15th (see how cool she is to have a birthday on the Ides of March) and you can get your choice of matted 5×7 DAT OR a fabric postcard AND I’m buying a Speciality Restaurant Experience!!
Oh, you need details to decide? Ok, if I must, follow this link: Details on the Cruise

If we try to ice skate, there will definitely be giggles! I can’t stand up on ice skates!!!! I’m thinking maybe slightly tipsy miniature golf might be the way to go. Just sayin’…
