Duke channels a Teenager

Last night, Duke was an eating MACHINE.  I’m serious if it was not nailed down he either ate it or asked to eat it.  (In case you are new, this is so not like him.)

So on our drive home from school last night, he says to me, “Mama, I like strawberries.”

“Really, buddy, would you like Mama to get some on the way home.”

“Yes, I want chicken nuggets, french fries, and strawberries for dinner.”

“Alrighty then, you may have them.”

We stop at the store to grab the strawberries.  With purpose, Duke tugs me to the strawberry display.  He picks up the perfect box of strawberries.  He looks up and then sees the banana desplay.

“No, Mama, I want banana. I want to put banana in a bag.”

Um, dude, what about the strawberries?  We buy both.

We get home and the boy proceeds to eat from 6pm to 8pm nearly constantly.  Can we say growth spurt?  I think you can.

(Oh and I should note, his pants that hung off his toes last week are too short this week!  Can we say Target?  I knew you could.)

Yes, my kids get like that too!

I also LOVE the Children’s Place. Their stuff wears really well and only slightly more expensive than Target.
