It solves everything for two people of different body temperatures. Let me though make a case for two queen or king size comforters. On those occasions on a cold winter night when you wish to short-term share the comforter, a twin size is just not going to cut it and will leave one of you out in the cold (did I make the comment G-rated enough?). And, as long as we're on the subject, should one of you be, on rare occasions, um, I don't know, let's call it socially unacceptable, he/she keeps it confined under his/her own comforter rather than forcing you to share!
